I’m Ohana Miura and I started this blog recently with my mother Lourdes Miura as a place to express ourselves on any and every topic you can think of!

I will mainly blog about fashion, college, fighting with my parents, learning to manage my money, and what I hope for the future. My mother mainly will blog about cooking, her experience as a Brazilian immigrant in America, childcare, her regrets and hopes, and everything she has learned and wants to pass on.

Together we’ll also blog about how hard it can be to communicate between parent and child across a generational, cultural, and language gaps.

I want this blog to be a space where women and others can share their viewpoints and learn from each other. I want to grow and change my viewpoint and never let myself stagnate in the past–as short as my 19 year old past is and as long as my mother’s 59 year old past is!
